Rationality Quotient (RQ) Test

A prototype of a Rationality Quotient (RQ) test is currently under development by cognitive scientist, Keith E. Stanovich and others.  (See his website here, and a Wikipedia article about him here.)

This test will have very important implications once it has been taken by a significant number of people.   It will help us to understand the scope of the epidemic of irrationality in which our culture is engaged.  It is generally believed that RQ will be malleable.  That is rational thinking is learn-able and improvable.  A debate continues as to whether this is true of one’s Intelligence Quotient (IQ).

SRBT will post updates as the release of the RQ test approaches.
